June 2011 Newsletter

We are thrilled to announce that we have started our internship at Grace Baptist Church this month. We are so excited to see how God is at work in our lives. God has been faithful to provide for us as we put his kingdom first and transitioned from Tim’s IT career to our ministry career.

Establishing relationships with Japanese students

Since the 9.0 earthquake and tsunami in March our hearts have been burdened even more for the Japanese people. Since this time we have been able to reach out to three Japanese students that go to a college several blocks from our home. God gave us the opportunity to study the Bible and present the gospel with one of them! We also learned more about Japanese culture from them and our love for the Japanese people was deepened. Our boys love to spend time with them!

Elisha loves his 兄さん (big brother)

Please pray that we will continue to share the truth and love of Jesus Christ every opportunity that we get and that God will work in the hearts of Japanese people.

Lord willing, our internship will be fifteen months long and then we will be able to start our support raising. Please keep our family in your prayers as we go through these transitions in our lives. Pray that we will honor God, learn the things necessary through the internship and our continued schooling, for our children as we continue to adjust as much as possible before we get to Japan. It’s an honor to serve the Lord! Thanks so much for partnering with us in the endeavor of the sharing Christ here and around the world!
