Jim Smith, the missionary to Japan we plan on partnering with, was able to stay at our house for a couple of days. While he was here he was able to meet two of the Japanese college students that we have been having a bible study with. It was an exciting time to visit with Jim. Please pray for him as he is back in the states raising more support since the dollar has depreciated.

Our bible study has been going on for six months now with three Japanese ladies. We have been working through the Gospel of Mark to build an understanding of who Jesus is. Before the study the ladies had only understood Jesus as one of many religious teachers of the past. Our bible study this last week fell on Good Friday! Thank God for the opportunity to share the Good News of his death and resurrection on Good Friday! It was a good Friday indeed!

On Easter Sunday we had lunch at our home with church family and four Japanese students! Please continue to pray for these students as our bible study draws to an end. Pray that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts and that they would respond by placing their faith in Jesus Christ!

Tim was given the opportunity to teach a children’s sermon during the main Easter worship service this year. He was able to give the gospel in a memorable way to over 100 children! Pray that the gospel would take root in their little hearts.

He is also beginning to call churches as part of the support raising process. Please pray that God would lead us to the churches He wants us to partner with.
